Sheetz cuts gas prices by 40 cents for sure fuel as Thanksgiving trip picks up
Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, gasoline prices are trending down, but prices are really plummeting at Sheetz.
Sheetz, which has more than 750 locations in the Mid-Atlantic region is reducing the worth of its Unleaded 88 gas by 40 cents per gallon. This gas discount is available beginning Tuesday, Nov. 19 and lasts through the complete of the month, Nov. 30.
The discount will only be available at the 505 Sheetz stores that propose Unleaded 88, which is a blend of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline. The propose may vary at Sheetz locations in Maryland due to local pricing laws, the business said. You can check the the Sheetz mobile app or website to discover the closest location with Unleaded 88.
Nearly three-fourths of Americans (73%) schedule to receive a road trip over the Thanksgiving holiday, according to an online survey of 343 respondents conducted Nov. 5 through 8 by GasBuddy. That’s up from the 41% who planned Thanksgiving road trips last year, which the fuel-saving app found in its 2023 survey.
This year’s expected trip is closer to pre-pandemic levels, when 65% drove for Thanksgiving get-togethers in 2019, said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, in a press release.Â
Most travelers will discover lower gas prices with the national average gas worth at about $2.98 per gallon, down slightly from the current national average of $3.02 per gallon, De Haan said.
“Americans are eager to get back on the road and visit loved ones this Thanksgiving, with the vast majority choosing the flexibility and convenience of driving, as gas prices have fallen below $3 in over half of the country’s states,” he said.
The worth of regular unleaded gas on average was $3.063 per gallon on Tuesday, down from $3.183 a month ago and $3.313 a year ago, according to AAA.
