If your first paycheck of 2025 falls on Friday, Jan. 3, you will receive three paychecks in January: Jan. 3, Jan. 17 and Jan. 31.
You will also receive three paychecks in August: Aug. 1, Aug. 15 and Aug. 29.
These dates are for employees who get paid biweekly on Friday.
If your first paycheck is Jan. 10, here’s what to expect
If your first paycheck of 2025 falls on Friday, Jan. 10, you will receive three paychecks in May: May 2, May 16 and May 30 − and October: Oct. 3, Oct. 17 and Oct. 31.
These dates are for employees who get paid biweekly on Friday.
Are three paychecks in one month rare?
No, three paychecks in one month isn’t necessarily rare. In 2024, employees paid biweekly could also have received three paychecks in two months.
Employees whose first paycheck was on Jan. 5, 2024 received three paychecks in March and August, and employees whose first paycheck was on Jan. 12, 2024 received three paychecks in May and November. These dates are also for employees who got paid biweekly on Friday.
