After cyberattack, Krispy Kreme ‘thanks’ customers with free delivery, deals
Krispy Kreme wants to make it up to you for its problems with online orders earlier this month.
Back on Dec. 11, the doughnut maker reported a cyberattack – “unauthorized activity” on its information technology systems – leading to “operational disruptions” including online ordering over parts of the U.S., in a filing with the financial instruments and trade percentage.
But Krispy Kreme’s doughnut delivery business got back to normal last week and the business wants to celebrate.
“As we close out 2024, we are so grateful for Krispy Kreme fans, including for their patience as we experienced problems with online ordering,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s chief brand officer, in a statement. “Now that online ordering is 100 percent back, we’re saying ‘thanks’ with great online and offline deals to commence the recent Year correct for all of us!”
