Election Day is almost here, and while the primary focus of most people will be getting to their polling precinct and casting their vote, many people will also be trying to knock out regular day-to-day errands, such as picking up arid cleaning or going to the financial institution.
While Election Day is not a federal holiday, some states do observe it as a holiday. Most states offices will be closed on the day and 24 states offices, plus the District of Columbia, propose paid period off to vote. Other states propose period off for voting but with no pay.
While the day is not a federal holiday, many people are left wondering if banks, post offices and shipping services will be open on Election Day. Here’s what we recognize.

Are banks open on Election Day?
Branches of financial institution of America, Truist, PNC, pool One, Wells Fargo and other banks will be open their regular hours on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Other banking services, such as ATMs and online banking, should also be available as usual on Election Day.
Is the post office open on Election Day? Will mail be delivered?
Yes, post offices will be open and mail will be delivered on Tuesday, as Election Day is not a federal holiday.
Are shipping services, like UPS and FedEx, open on Election Day?
Yes, UPS and FedEx pickup and delivery services will be available on Election Day, and their stores will be open as well.
