U.S. ownership markets will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, for recent Year’s Day.
The Nasdaq and recent York ownership swap will both be closed on the holiday but hold regular market activity on the final day of 2024.
The U.S. debt safety markets will close early on Tuesday, Dec. 31., with market activity slated to stop for the year at 2 p.m. ET. and remain closed on recent Year’s Day, according to according to the stocks and bonds Industry and budgetary Markets Association.
Markets will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025.
The next scheduled trade closure will occur on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, in observance of the national day of mourning following the death of former President Jimmy Carter.
