excellent morning and joyful Friday! This is Betty Lin-Fisher with Friday’s customer-concentrated edition of The Daily Money.

President-elect Donald Trump doesn’t receive office until Jan. 20, but his proposed tariffs, and the effects they could have on U.S. retailers and ultimately consumers, are all the buzz.At an occurrence in early December with major U.S. retailers, “we exclusively talked about this topic of tariffs,” Balika Sonthalia of global way and management consultancy firm Kearney, told me for a USA TODAY narrative.

Trump implemented some tariffs during his first term in office, but these proposed tariffs are different, several experts in the retail sector told me.Ultimately, consumers will pay the worth for these tariffs, they said.

Winter storm in Southeast causes flight cancellations
