When could Starbucks have Red Cup Day in 2024? Here’s what to expect

One of the most eagerly anticipated days of the year for Starbucks fanatics is almost here.

Red Cup Day is known as Starbucks’ festivity of the holiday, and customers who order a handcrafted holiday beverage on the day get a free reusable cup, which they can then bring back to receive a 10-cent discount on their beverage, plus 25 bonus stars for Starbucks Rewards members who use the Starbucks app.

While the corporation itself has not yet announced when Red Cup Day will be held this year, we looked back at which date it was held on the last five years to assist provide you a sense of when it could occur in 2024.

When is Red Cup Day usually held at Starbucks?

Here’s when Starbucks held Red Cup Day the last five years:

  • 2023: Thursday, Nov. 16
  • 2022: Thursday, Nov. 17
  • 2021: Thursday, Nov. 18
  • 2020: Friday, Nov. 6
  • 2019: Thursday, Nov. 7

When is Red Cup Day at Starbucks in 2024?

Based on the trends above, our best guess as to when Red Cup Day will happen in 2024 is Thursday, Nov. 14.

Last year, customers could get the free cup by ordering any holiday or fall beverage at any temperature: warm, iced or blended. Here is a list of drinks that fell under that category last year:
