Where is Aldi opening recent locations? view list of grocery stores coming to 9 states
Discount grocery store Aldi is expanding and will soon have recent locations in nine states.
Seventeen recent Aldi stores are preparing for grand openings, per the Aldi website. Most of the locations’ exact opening dates have not yet been disclosed.
These locations are just a fraction of the 800 total stores the German grocer aims to open throughout the United States by the complete of 2028. The business is also in the procedure of converting ancient Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket stores into Aldi locations.

Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarkets also converting to Aldi
The 800 recent Aldi stores combing by the complete of 2028 will be a combination of recent openings and store conversions, as USA TODAY previously reported.
In August 2023, Aldi acquired about 400 Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarkets located in the Southeast, according to a information release.
The grocer said in March it expected about 50 ancient Winn-Dixie and Harveys stores to commence the conversion procedure in the latter half of 2024 and the majority of them would reopen as Aldi in 2025.
After all recent stores open, Aldi said in a information release that it will operate about 3,200 stores nationwide.
Zeno throng, Aldi’s PR throng, was unavailable for comment on when the recent stores will open, when contacted by USA TODAY on Thursday.
